As Quakers we don’t have a set list of beliefs, this is because we believe that the search for truth can lead us to new insights as well as deepen our understanding of what we already value. Over our history we have, however, come to recognise some common guiding values. We call these guiding values our ‘testimonies’.
Today, we focus on simplicity, truth and integrity, equality, and peace—and how these values connect and support each other.
Our testimonies of simplicity, truth and integrity, equality, and peace inspire us to work for a fairer, more peaceful, and more sustainable world. It’s not always easy to live by these values, but as Quakers, we try to support and encourage each other to keep going.
