Walking or Cycling

We’re about a 10–15 minute walk from Nottingham city centre.

There is a bike rack outside the main entrance, and cycle parking is usually available.

If you prefer, you can hire a Lime e-bike from several nearby locations. For more information, visit the Transport Nottingham website.

By Tram or Bus

We’re very close to the Nottingham Trent University tram stop (on Goldsmith Street), served by trams heading to Hucknall and Phoenix Park.

Trams announce and display each stop, and the Meeting House is at the top of a hill—Chaucer Street is the gentlest way up.

You’ll also find many bus stops nearby, including on Talbot Street, Wollaton Street, Derby Road, and at Canning Circus.

For bus routes and times, visit Traveline.

From the Train or Coach Stations

From Nottingham Railway Station or Broadmarsh Bus Station, take any tram heading to Hucknall, Phoenix Park, or Shipstone Street, and get off at Nottingham Trent University.

From Victoria Bus Station, it’s a 15-minute walk via Shakespeare Street.

You can also catch a Two or Rainbow 1 bus and get off near the Cathedral on Derby Road—only 5 minutes from the Meeting House.

By Car

If you’re coming from the south or west, go through Canning Circus. As you head east from the roundabout, fork left onto Talbot Street, then turn left again at the lights onto Clarendon Street.

From the north or east, you can reach Clarendon Street via Peel Street or Waverley Street.

Note: Goldsmith Street is for trams only.

Parking

The streets near the Meeting House are in Nottingham’s Pay and Display Tariff Zone 1, active every day (including Sundays) from 8am to 10pm.

Nearby Peel Street and adjacent roads are in cheaper Zones 2 and 3.

You can pay by phone or online, but no change is given at machines.

Visit the Nottingham City Council website for parking zones and rates.

A word of caution:

Traffic wardens are active every day, including Sundays.

Please:

  • Park only in marked spaces
  • Display a valid ticket or use mobile payment
  • Use a blue badge if parking in disabled bays
  • Avoid Residents Only bays—many are now restricted on Sundays too

There are multi-storey car parks nearby, though they can be expensive.
